This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit keepish.co or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow Canada&#8217;s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada&#8217;s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The short version:<\/strong> we collect what we need to make and deliver your order, we share it only with the companies that help us do that, we never sell your information, and we only email you marketing if you&#8217;ve said yes.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Information we collect<\/h2>\n<h3>Information you give us<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Order details:<\/strong> your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you ordered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Photos and personalization:<\/strong> the photos, names and text you upload to personalize a product. Photos often show other people, including children. See section 4.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Messages:<\/strong> anything you send us through our contact form or by email, including guarantee claims and the photos you send with them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email signup:<\/strong> your email address and your consent if you join our list.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gift reminders:<\/strong> if you choose to set one, the date and occasion you give us.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Account details:<\/strong> if you create an account, your login details and order history.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reviews:<\/strong> the review, rating and name you choose to show.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Information collected automatically<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Country:<\/strong> our network provider tells us the country you&#8217;re visiting from so we can show the right currency and delivery dates. We do not use your precise location.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical data:<\/strong> your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, kept in server and security logs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cookies and similar storage:<\/strong> see section 7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Why we use it<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To make, ship and deliver your order, and to send order and shipping updates.<\/li>\n<li>To check your photo before printing and contact you if it won&#8217;t print well.<\/li>\n<li>To handle Keep-It Guarantee claims, reprints, remakes and customer service.<\/li>\n<li>To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.<\/li>\n<li>To show prices, taxes and delivery estimates for your country.<\/li>\n<li>To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.<\/li>\n<li>With your consent only: to send you drop alerts, gift ideas, offers and gift reminders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not use them to train artificial intelligence models.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Consent<\/h2>\n<p>By placing an order, you consent to us using your information to fulfil it as described here. Marketing emails require your separate, express consent, given by ticking an unchecked box. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect order emails we must send.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Your photos<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Your permission:<\/strong> when you upload a photo, you confirm you have the right to use it and permission from the people shown (or their parent or guardian for children).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who sees it:<\/strong> our team (to check print quality), our print partner (to make your item), and any personalization software we use to create the print file.<\/li>\n<li><strong>How long we keep it:<\/strong> we keep uploaded photos for 90 days after delivery so we can honour the Keep-It Guarantee, then delete them, unless you ask us to keep them longer for future orders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Never public:<\/strong> we never post your photos or products made from them on our website or social media without your separate written permission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. Who we share information with<\/h2>\n<p>We share only what each service provider needs to do its job, under contracts that require them to protect it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Printful<\/strong> (printing and fulfilment): your name, shipping address, phone number, order details and personalization files.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Our payment processor<\/strong> ([STRIPE OR WOOPAYMENTS]): payment and billing details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shipping carriers<\/strong> (through Printful): your name, address and phone number for delivery.<\/li>\n<li><strong>[PERSONALIZER NAME]<\/strong> (photo personalization software, once chosen): your uploaded photos and text.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloudflare<\/strong> (website security and speed) and <strong>our web host<\/strong>: technical data needed to run the site.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Our email delivery provider<\/strong>: your email address and the content of emails we send you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We may also disclose information if required by law, or to a buyer if our business is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply. <strong>We never sell or rent your personal information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>6. Where your information is stored<\/h2>\n<p>Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Printful, for example, may produce your order in a facility outside Canada. Information processed abroad is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to its courts and authorities. We choose providers with strong privacy and security practices.<\/p>\n<h2>7. Cookies and on-device storage<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Essential:<\/strong> keep your cart, checkout and login working. These cannot be switched off.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preferences on your device:<\/strong> our site may remember, in your own browser only, things like the last product you viewed or your currency, so we can say &#8220;welcome back&#8221;. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analytics and marketing:<\/strong> we do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>8. How long we keep information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Order and tax records: as long as tax law requires (generally six years in Canada).<\/li>\n<li>Uploaded photos: 90 days after delivery, as described in section 4.<\/li>\n<li>Email list: until you unsubscribe.<\/li>\n<li>Customer service messages: 2 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>9. How we protect it<\/h2>\n<p>We use encrypted connections, access controls, reputable service providers and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps and will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Your choices and rights<\/h2>\n<p>You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we must keep it by law). You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We&#8217;ll respond within 30 days. To make a request, contact our privacy officer below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>United States residents:<\/strong> depending on your state, you may have additional rights, such as to know, correct or delete your information. We honour these requests for all customers. We do not sell or &#8220;share&#8221; personal information for cross-context advertising.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Children<\/h2>\n<p>Our site is meant for adults buying gifts. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 directly. Photos of children are provided by their parents, guardians or family members, who confirm they have permission to share them.<\/p>\n<h2>12. Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;ll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site or emailed to customers where appropriate.<\/p>\n<h2>13.
